No one left on the bench
In October, we attended our first sporting event as a school, the PowerHouseGames, at Whitechapel Stadium, a multi-team event playing inclusive and adapted sports. From beginning to end, children expressed their excitement about the incredible opportunity they experienced, observing firsthand what to expect in five inclusive sports: walking football, goalball, boccia, sitting volleyball and curling. They were fascinated by instructors as they learnt the rules of these unfamiliar sports, many of which they had never played, before playing alongside other schools and university students.
