At Mulberry Academy London Dock, every day is carefully structured to support students’ academic achievement, personal development and wellbeing. From the moment students arrive, they are welcomed into a vibrant and supportive community where they can learn, socialise and thrive. Students may arrive at school from 8.00am, giving them time to meet with friends before lessons begin. Many students choose to socialise with their peers or enjoy a game of table tennis, helping them start the day positively and feel connected to the school community. The school day begins with students gathering in their form groups. Form Time is an important part of daily life at Mulberry Academy London Dock, providing students with regular opportunities to build strong relationships with their Form Tutors and fellow students. During this time, students take part in our carefully planned pastoral programme, which includes Community Read, designed to foster a love of reading and develop literacy skills; Retrieval Practice, which helps students strengthen their knowledge and recall learning more effectively; and our Empathy Programme, which supports personal development, emotional intelligence and positive relationships. Form Time also provides opportunities for assemblies and discussions that reinforce our values and support students’ wellbeing.
